BOMA BEST v4.1 FAQ

We are excited to share an important announcement regarding the BOMA BEST Sustainable program. We will be launching an update to the questionnaire on January 2025. 

This update is in direct response to the valuable feedback we’ve received over the past year. The update aims to better align with industry needs, make the certification process easier and includes several key improvements: 

• Clarified Criteria: Enhanced clarity to ensure easier understanding and implementation. 

• Updated Questions: Revisions to better account for various scenarios encountered in practice. 

• Additional Questions: Re-introduction of two key questions from BOMA BEST Sustainable 3.0. 

To ensure your building’s verification is completed before these updates take effect, we recommend submitting for verification by October 2024, as we anticipate a high volume of submissions towards the end of the year. Buildings not verified by this deadline will be required to complete the updated questionnaire starting January 1, 2025.
